outfit of the day: july 20, 2015

i thought i would start off this blog with an outfit of the day post, that way you all could get an idea of what my style consists of. it's very hot in kentucky right now, so pretty sundresses are essential for the summer. i'm going to try to include a face of the day with each of my ootd posts, and if you would like a review on any of the products, please let me know.

these are the bracelets i wear most of the time. i like to have some gold and silver, so that i can mix and match my metals on the rest of my jewelry. the bracelets featured are from a few different stores including forever 21 and a local boutique. however, i'm sure you can find similar styles pretty much anywhere.

for my hair, i curled it with my one inch curling wand, and pinned it back with some bobby pins.

face of the day:
clinique super primer: dullness corrector (pink tube)
maybelline fit me foundation matte + poreless (220)
e.l.f. hd lifting concealer (fair)
rimmel stay matte pressed powder (silky beige)
nyc bronzing face powder (sunny)
covergirl eyeshadow for cheekbone highlighter (champagne)
elizabeth arden blush (sunburst)
eyes:
covergirl eyeshadow (tapestry taupe)
clinique eyeshadow (pure warmth)
elizabeth arden eyeshadow (heathered plum)
covergirl lashblast volume (very black)
la colors brow kit (medium)

for my jewelry, i decided to go with my signature texas necklace from forever 21. i think similar styles could be found at the etsy shop truche. my earrings are from, i believe, wet seal, but i've had them for a while. i'm sure with it being the summer, similar options are available.

my white sundress is from old navy, it can be purchased here. it has some white crocheting on it as well. i like this one particularly because it is a long enough length (on my 5'2'' body) , so you won't have to worry about it flying up on you during the breezy days in the spring/summer. i think it could be dressed in many different ways. if you wanted to wear it in the fall, you could add socks, brown riding boots, and a jean jacket. although, it is a bit sheer, so be sure to wear appropriate undergarments underneath :-) oddly enough, the shoes are also from old navy, but i could not find them on the website. here is a pair of similar sandals from jcrew.
i hope you enjoyed this outfit of the day, and i look forward to posting many more in the future.
xo, hailey
