outfit of the day: july 23, 2015

yesterday's outfit of the day consists of everything i love: holographic combat boots, a skater dress, my choker, black tights, and a dash of tacky. keep reading if you'd like to see the details :)

i was instantly drawn to this dress when i saw it on the rack at victoria's secret pink. i know a lot of people are disgusted by aniaml print clothing, but i'll always have a special place for it in my heart. i loved this dress because it had the details on the neckline to make it look kind of sporty. i absolutely love skater dresses, because they're so girly and flirty, but also comfortable, and they do a great job of accentuating your curves. i purchased this dress on valentine's day, so it's long gone from victoria's secret. i searched for like 2 hours trying to find something like this dress, but couldn't find any exact matches. here are few similar options. sheinside - asos 

i was on, i think, four day hair, so i decided to throw it into a bun. i think the bun makes it much more casual. messy buns are my bff.

i'm not exactly sure where i bought these black sheer tights, but i wouldn't recommend the ones i have anyway, they aren't very durable and they bunch up on my ankles, even though they're the right size.. very weird. you can find sheer black tights just about anywhere and anywhere from $2-$50, it's up to you on which ones are most comfortable, and if you're looking for quality ones or more "disposable ones". i love adding tights to my outfits because you don't have to do any upkeep to your legs that day, and it's good if you're uncomfortable with wearing shorter dresses, skirts, or shorts because of stretch marks, cellulite, or anything of that sort. 

my holographic combat boots were from wet seal. i wouldn't typically go to wet seal for shoes because although they do have a ton of trendy options, you get what you're paying for.. they aren't very comfortable and they're going to break on you. however, these shoes were so cute, and i just had to have them. i got these around christmas time of last year, so you won't find them now. however, i found some very similar ones here, and for a reasonable price. 

my choker is from claires. i looked on the website, and not only do they have this one in particular, but they also have many new styles! if you're into chokers, i would definitely check them out at claire's. i'm so in love with my choker for one, because of the nostalgia factor, it's so 90's, and it makes any outfit a little more edgy. i don't think i'll ever give up my choker.
