the disney tag!

if you know anything about me, you know that i'm a huge disney fan. really, "huge" is an understatement. disney is one of the biggest and most important parts of my life, and has been for as long as i can remember. when i say hayley segar (hayleyistcb) on youtube doing "the disney tag", i knew i had to make a blog post! this is in honor of the three disney trips i have coming up in 2016! i plan on doing some more disney blog posts once i think of some creative ideas. let me know what your favorite disney movie is in the comments, and be sure to check out hayley's video here <3

love it or leave it? impress manicure by broadway nails

hey beautiful people, long time no see! i'm sorry for my long absence from the blog world. i hate when people give me excuses, so i'm going to keep mine short and simple: i've been busy. in the summer, it was easy for me to blog daily because it was the only thing i had going on. now with school and starting a new job, and all that comes with it. but i promise i'm back for good now! no more long hiatuses.

for this post, i got to partner up with broadway nails, and i will be reviewing their impress press on manicure nails! this is super exciting for me, because i'm trying to save money right now, and going the nail salon is a great way for me to drain my wallet.. i'm one of those people that refuses to paint their own nails and let me tell you why.. every time i do my own nails, they're always dull, they chip, i bite on them when i'm nervous, and i don't have time to be drying my nails okay!! so these nails are a LIFE SAVER. keep reading to learn more about why you need these nails in your life :)

my favorites from: eyes lips face

hey beautiful people! i'm so sorry that i've been away from my blog for a little over a week now. i was out of town, training for a job, and now that i don't have a laptop anymore, it would've been impossible to blog while i was out of town and give you guys the best content i possibly could! but don't worry, i have plenty of great posts coming up this week. i move back to school into a dorm on saturday & sunday (8/23), so i will have a lot of posts on that, and i'll be sure to show you all around my room, and give you tips and tricks on living on campus. i'm really excited to get back to school and into a routine again. are you guys excited to get back to school

i'm now completely off topic from the whole point of this post, which is to tell you all about my e.l.f. cosmetics favorites! the best thing about this company, like i've said many times, is that everything is under $10!! if you're looking to build up your makeup collection, you have to try out these products. i have used a lotttt of makeup products from this company in my life, and a lot of the things that i have loved are discontinued, so i can't recommend them to you :(. some of the things i've tried have been amazing, and others have been not so amazing.  this list is composed of the items that i have repurchased a few times, that are wonderful quality, and that i would recommend to anyone and everyone! just because something from this company didn't work for me, doesn't mean it won't work for you. everyone has different preferences, so keep that in mind. some pros of e.l.f. are: the prices, the quality, their promo codes, huge selection of products, nice packaging that doesn't fall apart, you can now get them in some drugstores! some cons are: the inconsistency.. okay so i have bought some things from e.l.f. and loved them so much, so i got another of the exact same product, and it wasn't as great of quality. so i don't know what the deal is with that, but it's happened to me a couple of times. okay i'm going to quit rambling and get into the details of the products! if you want to see my must haves from e.l.f. cosmetics, keep reading :)

if you're interested in purchasing e.l.f., i have found them at target, rite-aid, walmart, and on the e.l.f. website!
ps, if you're interested in knowing my favorite e.l.f. brushes, check out my makeup brushes 101 post.

thoughtful thursday: how to de-stress

with school being right around the corner, with it, comes a lot of extra stress we don't typically feel in the summer. there's projects, tests, waking up early, staying up late, friend drama, and everything in between. i'm a very naturally stressed out person, so over my 20 years of living, i have come up with a list of ways i like to de-stress, some of them are relaxing, some are fun, and some help get your "creative juices flowing". i'm definitely not a professional, and i'm just informing you on what has helped me before! if you're interested, keep reading :)

i threw today's outfit together spur of the moment, which is how a lot of my favorite outfits come to be. that's why i like to have a notebook to write down all my outfit ideas! this look includes the cutest chartreuse shorts you've ever seen, my nike roshes, a high-neck ribbed tank, and a gold chain. if you're interested in the details, keep reading :)

ps: my computer has broken on me, kind of unexpectedly, and luckily this post was already prepared. i will, more than likely, be able to finish up this week in posting, but i'm not so sure about next week, so i just wanted to keep you all updated on that. follow me on my social media to keep up with me!

wet'n'wild mega last lip color review: lip swatches & more

have you ever had a product that you find so amazing in every single aspect, and you just feel like you need to shout it from rooftops, incorporate it into every single conversation you have, and take it out to dinner and a movie? that's how i feel about wet 'n' wild's mega last lip colors. what is so special about some $2 lipstick, you might be asking? well, let me just fill you in. a lot of times, i feel like you get what you pay for when it comes to makeup, and you're better off investing in nicer, quality makeup than drugstore. buuuuuut, these lipsticks are fire.  they have 26 different, bright shades (i'll be talking about the 14 that i have). pretty much any color you could want, you will find in this line. on top of that, the lipsticks are better quality than any lipstick i have ever tried in my life..bible. generally speaking, the application on this product is so nice. it's creamy and buttery, with a matte finish. matte finish lipsticks are my favorite, because they stay much longer, and i just don't like shiny or shimmery colors on my lips, personally. i have literally gone to sleep with this stuff on, and woken up with it in pristine condition. in my lip swatches, i didn't apply any lip liner beforehand, because i wanted you all to get the true color of the lipsticks, but for some of them, i would recommend a lip liner to keep them from feathering. i tend to use the darker shades more than the lighter ones, but it's all about personal preference. like i said, these lipsticks are $2, and sometimes, if you check your local drugstore ads, you can find a sale on wet 'n' wild products, making them even less expensive. the only downside i might mention would be the packaging. the lids fall off on me a lot, and if they're in my purse or makeup bags, it's kind of a nightmare. aside from that one fault, you need to try out these lipsticks, and trust me, once you do, you will be singing their praises just like i am. you can buy them at your local drugstore, or the wet 'n' wild website - here. if you want to continue to hear me rave on and on about this product, and go into details with all of the colors, keep reading :)

ps: i just bought 8 more of these lipsticks, so i will do another blog post on the rest of them once i complete my collection.
